Where are orders shipped from?

All of our merchandise is shipped from Poland. The business is registered in Norway, so all sales are processed in Norwegian currency. 

Do you charge VAT/Sales Tax?

We do not charge VAT on any products in this store. We are under the VAT threshold in Poland (where all orders are fulfilled from). If you purchase from our Etsy store, you will be charged the local rate of VAT for digital products.

For any purchases from this store, if you are in the EU your order will arrive without any additional taxes. For other locations please check with your local customs authority. We have no responsibility for import charges and are legally obliged to fully declare the value of all orders to customs.

Which currency do you charge in?

Prices are shown in your local currency but will be charged in Norwegian kroner at checkout.

Which payment methods do you accept?

All payments are processed either through PayPal or Stripe. You can pay with a debit card, credit card, Apple Pay or PayPal balance.

Where can I buy your garment patterns and other digital products?

All digital products are sold through our Etsy store, where you will be charged the correct local sales tax and receive your order for immediate digital download. We do not currently offer digital products through this store.

Where do you ship to?

We currently ship to a limited number of countries in Europe, North America, Asia and Oceania. You can see a full list of countries and shipping rates here. If your location is not on the list, please contact us directly for a shipping quote.

Do you accept returns?

Yes! If upon receiving your order and are not completely satisfied, you may be entitled to return the order for a refund. If you would like to arrange a refund, please contact us via email at info@underpinningsmuseum.com within 14 days of receipt, providing that the items are unused and in their original packaging. If an item is deemed to have been damaged due to customer negligence it will be returned to the sender.

When emailing us please state your order number and reason for return.  Once your email has been received you will be provided with a return address. Please ensure that all returns are fully insured as we cannot accept responsibility for goods lost in transit.  For international returns, please ensure that customs documentation is filled in correctly indicating that the item is a return. Should the item have customs charges placed on it upon arrival to the Poland, we will not be able to accept it and it will be returned to you.

Regretfully we cannot offer exchanges on any orders. All returns will be processed for a refund of the original item value. Shipping will only be refunded in the instance where there is a fault in the original order. We currently do not cover return shipping costs - these must be borne by the customer in the instance of a return.

Where does the money from merchandise sales go?

All profits are reinvested directly back into the museum. It might cover operating costs (such as storage materials and web hosting), new acquisitions or future photoshoots. The sales from this store are what allow our website to remain free access for everyone, and what allow this project to grow! 

Can I visit the museum?

The museum does not have a physical location, but you are always welcome to visit our website. 

Do you offer custom orders?

We can offer custom photographic prints upon request for an additional charge. Please email us directly to discuss the possibilities (please note that this will incur additional charges and waiting times). Sadly we cannot customise any other products at this time. 

Do you offer wholesale?

Yes! Please contact us directly to discuss the possibilities. Minimum orders apply and wholesale is only available for a select range of products
